One of my hobbies is trying all different types of exercise -- last Thursday, I went a spin class for the first time...I kind of thought was going to faint, but also really loved it. It was so hard, but it feel great to really push myself and get out of my comfort zone! However, one of my all-time favorite, go-to exercise styles is Tabata. I like it so much because it's short, challenging, effective, and because it's a bunch of different exercises combined together, I don't get bored! Which can happen easily when I'm exercising... like when I'm on the elliptical, I have to a.) be watching a show, and b.) switch machines every 10 minutes to keep from going berserk.
So here's a quick & fun Tabata workout for you! Tabata is a high intensity style workout, and the idea is to go as hard as you can for 20 seconds, rest/drink some water for 10 seconds, and repeat for the next exercise on the list. The Tabata workout I created here has four circuits -- between the circuits, I took about 30 seconds of full rest. Enjoy!!
