Apple Cider Vinegar Toner

After much experimentation with different water-vinegar ratios, I've found the one that works for my skin type! Trust me when I say that this homemade remedy truly rocks. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) helps to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, make skin's texture soft & smooth, and quicken the healing process of blemishes and hyper-pigmentation. My favorite time to use it is after I cleanse my face with oils or raw honey. This, Dickinson's Witch Hazel, and Thayer's Witch Hazel  are my favorite toners.

NOTE: the ACV to water ratio will vary based on your skin type. My skin has a normal-oily combo, so I use a 4:1 ratio of water to ACV (if you have really sensitive/dry skin, use less ACV and more water; if you have oily skin, use more ACV and less water).

The first time I tried this, I put only apple cider vinegar onto my face...no water. BAD IDEA. My eyes started burning! ACV, especially the raw kind, is super powerful, and it needs to be diluted with a certain amount of water.

Ingredients

-1/2 cup Bragg's Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (I make my toner right in the Bragg's bottle, or in a Mason jar)

-2 cups filtered/clean water

-A few drops of any essential oil that you like (I use tea tree or lavender essential oil)

Directions

1.) Mix all ingredients in a bottle. Shake together.

2.) Soak the cotton pad will the ACV toner

3.) Wipe your entire face & neck with the cotton pad, being sure to swipe upwards. There may be some toner left on your skin afterwards, but it doesn't need to be wiped away. Your skin will absorb it!
